On July 30th, 2004, while bar fishing on the Fraser River, a boat with two occupants proceeded to set a driftnet just upstream from us. The net then drifted through our casting range so we had to retrieve our fishing rigs, otherwise they would have been caught up in the net. The netting done was illegal because there was no openings for driftnetting at the time. The two occupants of the boat managed two sockeye salmon from that particular drift.
